SUNDAY DRIVER 下手くそよ♪

"SUNDAY DRIVER"

I guess the word could be for me sometimes!


I got my driver's license more than 10 years ago,
but I didn't drive for... about 10 years!
Yes, I was a "paper driver" as we Japanese call.


A car is not necessary for my daily life.
I can take trains or buses to work and I like riding a bicycle.
But I always thought
"I want to drive anywhere I want... by myself!"
I just wanted to be more independent!


The problem is... I didn't have a chance to drive a car because I didn't have a car!
So I bought my very first (small and old!)car last year.


As I said, I don't drive to work. I drive only on my day off.
I don't drive too fast or too slow and never go recklessly, so I hope I don't bother people so much.
... I just think of adapting myself to the traffic all the time...

But honestly, I still feel nervous all the time!
I'll keep trying, safely and nicely... thinking like "be more independent, be more independent..."


「サンデードライバー」って、私のことかもって思うことがある。
10年以上前に免許をとって、そして10年運転せず、そうペーパードライバーだった。
仕事は電車とバスで行くし自転車も好きだし、実際のとこ必要なかったんだけど、でもいつもね、「自分で好きなところに運転していきたい」と思ってた。もっと自立したくって！
で、問題は車が無いから運転もできない、と。なので昨年、人生初の(ちっちゃくて古いけど)マイカーを購入。
ただ、仕事には乗って行かないから、休みの日だけ。スピード出さないし、トロトロもしてないし、無謀な運転なんてできない。あんまり周りの迷惑にはなってないといいんだけど… みんなの流れに溶け込むように…　(笑)　って心がけて。
でも正直いつも緊張する！安全に、良い具合に、がんばろう。「もっとしっかりしなさいよ…」って言い聞かせながら。
