I have been enjoying Japanese food because I'm leaving Japan very soon and I'm sure I'll miss it!

My friends took me to an Izakaya restaurant last night.  Here is what we had...  Everything was so good☆  Well,,, I feel I'm already missing it!

Day off♪　Yes!  Though I gotta take care of some work stuff later, I've been enjoying my wonderful day so far! :-)  In the morning, I went walking along the river in my town.  It was a very nice exercise time♪
休日！あとでちょっと仕事もあるけど、今日はステキな一日を過ごしています。朝はいつもの河川敷ウォーキング。良い汗ながしました♪

Walking along a river, feeling a nice breeze on my cheeks in a sunshine was very good stress reliever too♪  I was missing this for a long time.  I wish I could run too, but I sould start from walking now because I haven't done any exercise for a while and I don't wanna hurt myself like I did last time! lol  I'm not going to try too much... I'll go walking only when I have plenty of time... and when I really want to go :-)   

風を感じながら太陽のもと河川敷を歩く、気分リフレッシュ♪長らくこういうことしてなかったぁ。ホントは走りたいけど、運動不足にムチうって前みたいに故障してはいけないので(笑)ここは辛抱して歩きのみ。気負い過ぎず、時間があって気が向いた時にまた歩こ、ぐらいのかんじで。

I often tend to have McDonald's for day off lunch...  But I chose sushi and okra salad instead of my favorite cheese burger because I didn't want to ruin my effort I made in the morning! lol  Well,,, sushi and salad was all from a nearby grocery store, so this is very... uhh... economy sushi lunch at home, lol  but, actually, it was delicious and I bet it's better than a combination of cheese burger and fries ;-)

休みの昼はマクドナルドが最近の定番。でも今日は大好きなチーズバーガーの代わりに寿司とオクラサラダ、朝の運動を無駄にせんためにも！(笑)まぁ、寿司ったってスーパーのお安いタイプだけど、でもなかなか美味しかったし、なんたってバーガー×ポテトのセットよりは良い！はず。

I've done some exercise, some of my stress has gone ;-), ate a little more properly than usual... and I enjoyed my favorite sponge cartoon! lol  (well, it was on when I turned on TV during sushi lunch lol)

I'll relax a little more and get to work shortly.  I've been having a good day today♪

運動してリフレッシュして、ちゃんと食べて、それにスポンジボブも見た(笑)大好き！(笑)... たまたまつけたテレビでやってた(笑)

もうちょっとだけのんびりして仕事にとりかかります！良い一日♪

Roadside Azalea

Azaleas are in bloom♪  This is a shot from a car window on the way to work.  White, pink, baby pink flowers on green leaves were so bright that I was watching them while I was waiting for the light to turn green.  Flowers reminded me of memories of my childhood.  On the way back home from school, my friends and I used to enjoy nectar of azaleas sucking from the bottom of the petals :-)  Did anybody do the same thing?  I don't know if kids still do it nowadays, but it was very popular among us.  Well, I am already a grownup, I was in a car,,, so I didn't try to pick one to taste it! lol

Because they were roadside flowers covered with exhaust, I felt sorry and thought "if they were somewhere with clean air, they would live much more comfortably"  But they really were beautiful flowers.  Watching them at the beginning of a day cheered me up and gave me a lot of energy ;-)

ツツジが咲いていた♪仕事に向かう途中のショットです。白やピンクの花が緑によく映えて目をひくので信号待ちの間しばし眺めていました。な～んか子供の頃のこと、よく学校帰りに友達とツツジの花の蜜を吸って、それこそ「道草」していたことを思い出した :-)  最近の子供ってこういうことするの？私達の頃はしょっちゅうだったぁ・・・。でももうオトナだし～(笑)今朝は車の中だったから摘んで蜜を吸うなんてしなかったわ(笑)　しかし排気ガスいっぱいの道路脇に咲く様子を見てると「空気がキレイなところだともっとのびのび咲けるね」と少しかわいそうにも感じたけど、その鮮やかな花を咲かせる姿はとってもキレイで、朝から元気とパワーをもらえた！ :-)

Cherry Cordial before bed

Tonight is like Friday night for me because I'm not working tomorrow♪  I finished dinner and my stomach + I are feeling happy :-)  Now I'm enjoying my own relaxing time.  I won't stay up very late because I gotta start my day early tomorrow, I have many things to do ;-)  I will just have some chocolate for dessert,,, then go to bed,,, feeling happier! lol
今夜は私の金曜ナイト♪明日お休みだから！ご飯食べてお腹もハッピー。のんびり時間を楽しんでいます。明日は明日でやることいっぱいあるし早起きするから夜更かしはせんよ ;-)　お楽しみのデザートでチョコを食べて、もっと幸せ気分で眠りに就こう！

Full Moon and "Happy Easter!"

The moon I can see from my window is full tonight.  Well,,, the shining thing in the middle of the picture is the moon... I know it's not a good pic. lol  You should just open the window and look out side for a full moon in the dark by yourself! lol  It's clear in Hiroshima area, the moon is beautiful♪

It's quite cold tonight, but I guess so many people are having cherry blossom party outside.  Drinking under beautiful blossoms and the beautiful full moon must be very nice♪ 

今日の月は満月。この…写真の真ん中で光ってるのが月。もっとうまく撮れればいいんだけど(笑)

なので、窓を開けて、実際に見てみて！今夜の広島の空はクリアで月がきれい♪

今夜はけっこう冷え込んでいるけど、きっと外でお花見の人も多いはず。桜と満月の下で一杯なんていいじゃーん♪

I just learned that "Easter" comes right after a full moon, one of my friends told me so today.  Tomorrow's Easter Sunday.  I guess most of the Japanese people don't have custom to celebrate Easter... including me.  But I got this Easter bunny chocolate :-) as a gift from the states and it reminds me of the day more than usual. 

Thanks, auntie K :-)  This is cute, so I've been wondering where to start my bite!

今日、仲良しの友達から「イースターは満月の後にやってくる」って教わった。明日はイースターの日曜日。私もしかり、あまり日本じゃ馴染みがないと思うけど、今年はこのイースターバニーをアメリカ土産でもらって、いつもより身近に感じます。叔母ちゃん、お土産ありがとう。カワイイからどこから食べようか迷うよ！「ハッピー　イースター！」

美術館に行ったので比治山の桜も♪

These are pictures of this Thursday, my last day off of this week.  I went to Hijiyama to visit an art museum and to see cherry blossoms :-)  It was a very nice and warm day so I enjoyed walking in a park in a small nountain, seeing blossoms.

Small park area with a big statue by the modern art museum.  This is a place in the city but it's really quiet with a lot of trees,,, nice :-)

美術館横の、大きなブロンズ作品が据えられた広場。木々と木漏れ日と桜と…遊ぶ子供と通行人のおじさんと。。。のどかでいい♪市内からすぐの場所だけど、小高い山の上なので、静かです。

Everybody was having relaxing time there.  Beautiful cherry blossoms make our relaxing time more special.

桜の下から、街を眺めたり、カップルで過ごしたり、奥様友達がワンコを連れて来ていたり…　いつもの寛ぎ時間も桜が咲くと特別な時間になる♪桜パワー :-)

I don't even have a plan but... lol,  if I have a chance to have kids, I will definitely take them to places like parks or something where we can enjoy nature a lot :-)

Cherishing... 愛でる

I've been enjoying my relaxing day off :-)  After driving back home from a movie and small shopping, I went to a riverside walk in my town just to check cherry blossoms and get some more nice fresh air♪  

今日も素敵な休日を過ごしています。映画と買い物の後、近所の河川敷までリフレッシュに桜を見に行ってきた♪

It seems a little too early to enjoy trees full of pretty blossoms, but I could see some buds coming out among twigs.  I brought my camera and was trying to looking up at the trees bending backward.  It was funny but people passing by started to stop around me and looked up at the trees just like me since they found me taking pictures of cherry blossoms. lol  

まだちょっと早かったみたいだけど、咲きかけの蕾が枝じゅうに見られました。私、木の下からカメラを上向きに構えてて…　おかしなことに、そんな私の姿に気づいた通行人のみなさんが足を止め始めて、みんな同じ姿勢、しばし一緒に上を眺めて桜蕾鑑賞タイム。

One of the people, a lady walking her puppy told me "Look over there.  Small bunch of flowers is there.  You should take some more pics from here♪"  She was kind :-)  I could take this picture thanks to her♪ 

そのうちの、ワンコ散歩中のマダムが「ほらアナタ、こっちに咲いてるわよ。キレイなのが撮れるんじゃないかしら♪」って、親切 :-)　おかげで素敵な一枚が撮れました♪

It was around 5pm when I went to the river.  The sun was about to start setting.  The sky was getting dark blue in the east.  Among twigs and buds, I found the moon which was still faint in the blue.  It is hard to see in the picture, but the combination of the cherry tree and the moon in the dark blue was beautiful♪

河川敷に行ったのは夕方５時頃だったので、夕日の前、東の空が暗くなり始めた頃。うっすら見え始めた白い月が、枝の合間遠くに見えました。写真では分かりにくいのが残念だけど、桜の枝とまだ青い空に見え始めた月のコラボ、ステキだったぁ♪  

We'll be able to enjoy blossoms more in a week here.  This riverside is my favorite place in my town :-)

I'll come here and check trees again on my next day off♪

じきに、１週間後にはここも桜の花でいっぱいになるでしょう。ここはウチの町のお気に入りスポット。また次の休みに見に来よう♪

春うらら

What a beautiful day~~~♪  Finally, we are having a nice and warm spring day in Hiroshima today!
They say a lot of cherry blossoms will start coming out around the city this weekend.  I hope we can enjoy the sweet spring time very soon :-)
In spite of this nice weather, I had to see a doctor today.  Of course, seeing a doctor never makes me feel so good and excited,,, but when I went back home, riding bicycle in this nice, warm, sunny weather was very relaxing and it made me feel so relieved...  It was pretty good to feel the spring wind... oh, I don't have a hay fever, so...
Because I was feeling good, I decided to spoil myself a little more, lol.   I went to a cake shop near my place on the way back home and I bought some... pieces of cake only for me! :-)

ステキな一日♪　広島もやっと暖かく春らしくなってきた！今週末には各地で桜も咲き始めるそうで、「春」が楽しめそうです。そんな「春うらら」ななか、今日の私は通院デー。病院ねぇワクワクも良い気分もしないけど、今日のステキなお天気の中で自転車乗るのは爽快だったぁ♪暖かい風を感じながら心地よく、癒された～。あぁ、幸い花粉症はないから、満喫です。
いい気分ついでに、もうちょっと甘やかしてやろうと（笑）地元のケーキ屋さんへ立ち寄り、甘いのを自分に♪ステキな日に、なんてステキなティータイムでしょう♪

スタバで考え事してた

I'm at a table next to a big window on the 2F of Starbucks now.  I have a few hours between my English classes, so I came here for lunch :-)  Because I had one of my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday, I still feel kinda wired in my mouth, but it seems alright.  It was easier than I expected... this time. lol
英語レッスンの開き時間があるので、スタバ２階窓際席についてランチ。昨日、親不知を抜いたばかりで変なかんじだけど、そっちは順調みたい。思ったよりもすんなりでよかった、今回は。

Having my sandwich, watching people walking outside,,, somehow I thought... I wanna keep learning as long as I'm alive.  It doesn't mean everyday lessons that people are supposed to learn from their ordinary lives, but it means something more professional or something I can connect with my career.  I can't explain well but I feel I wanna keep learning things I'm interested in.  For example... music, art, hospitality, traveling, fashion, entrepreneurship, social contribution, education...  There are so many... Everything is not really conneted to each other so far and I don't know how much I can learn until the end of my life, but I want to try and see how much I can do,,, imagining myself with my own business wich has all the elements I'm into.
Do I know how to do it?   ...No, not yet. lol  But I hope I'll find the way in the near future, or maybe I'll find one by one through hard work. ;-)
サンドイッチ食べながら、人間ウォッチングしながら・・・ふと思ったのね、「私、学び続けたいなぁ」って、とっても漠然（笑）　日々経験する日常から学ぶことだけでなく、ここで思ったのはもっと仕事に関連させるものとして、ということ。上手に言えないけど、キャリアに関連付けられるよう興味あることを学び続けたいというかんじ。例えば、音楽、アート、ホスピタリティ、旅、ファッション、起業、社会貢献、教育、、、たくさん、いまはどれもまだバラバラで仕事になってない、それに死ぬまでにどれだけできるか分かんないけど、やってみたいなぁと思って…このそれぞれの興味関心事が上手につながった何かをやってる自分を思い描きながら。
どうするかって？　まだわからん。（笑）でも近い将来見えてきたらいいなと、、、それか頑張ってるうちに１つずつ見えてつながってくるのかも、と思っています。

トマトはえらい！

My day off started with a big laundry time today.  Finally,,, I could unpack my suitcase bucause I've been kinda busy since I came back to Japan.  Then... I did some personal staff, college things, bank matters,,, and some work too.  I was not working today but I had a busy day :-)  That's ok, because I like keeping myself busy♪
Because I had a good day off, I wanted to finish it with something nice to eat... 
お洗濯で一日始まり！やっとね、スーツケースオープン、なんだかんだ忙しくてできなかったから。で、、、自分のことや学校のことやら銀行やらなんやら、、、そして仕事もして。休日だけど忙しい一日でした。でもいいの、今は忙しくしてるの好きだから♪
そして、いい日だったので、何かおいしいの食べて一日を終わろうじゃないのぉ～。

I love these glasses♪  These are B-day gift from one of my coworkers.  Nice glasses with very uique beautiful hand paint on them :-)  She knows my taste♪  They are really really nice!

I ate out last night and had very good food with delicous tomato sauce,,, seriously, everything was really good there♪  Maybe because of that, I felt like having something with.... tomato + herb. 

Well, as I wrote here before, I don't really like cooking! lol  I cook only when I really feel like...  It seemed like I did tonight, haha :-)  I made rolled cabbage with vegetables, mushrooms and a lot of tomatoes♪  It looks nice, huh? lol  It really is good for a glass of wine :-)

Nice day, nice wine, nice food... I had a good day off today♪  I'm ready to go back to work tomorrow♪

昨夜出かけて、おいしいトマトソースの料理を食べた…本当に何食べてもおいしいお店で♪たぶんそのせいね、何かトマトとハーブなかんじのものが食べたくなったのよ。えぇ、前にも書いたように料理は好きじゃない（笑）めったにごはん作りたくならないしlol　でも今夜は気分がのったみたい。:-)野菜とキノコ、そしていっぱいトマトを使ったロールキャベツを作ったぜぃ♪なかなかウマそうでしょ？ワイにあうわよぉ～ :-)  いい日、いいお酒、いい食事、いい休みだ♪ 明日からまたがんばれるよ♪

Dentist, Movie, English class

Well,,, not many people try taking a picture of their dental floss like me,,, I guess. lol

My 2 days off has just started.  Good morning :-)

I'll go to the dentist this morning.  Taking care of my teeth is very important but it's true that checking and fixing all bad teeth sometimes require a long term treatment...  so, I deffered seeing my dentist for a while.  But I know I gotta do this before going to the states.

If I finish dentist early and smoothly (the dentist is popular and his clinic is always busy...) I want to go to a movie.  I'm thinking about watching an Italian movie called "Mine Vaganti"

Then I will join some English classes later in the evening.  

It is very cold but looks nice outside.  I hope I will enjoy the 1st day today♪  

What I write today has nothing to do with Indian pudding but,,,

Indian rice pudding for dessert♪ 

Last night, I went to an Indian restaurant.  ...I know I've been writing about food and drinking recently!  lol  I don't know why, but I have a lot of chance to go out with my friends this month.  Maybe my busy Christmas season is one of the reasons.  I didn't really feel like going out or seeing people in my free time last month because I was having busy days through a month.  So... finally I'm enjoying my party time, I guess. :-)  My winter vacation is coming up in February♪  I'll be on a trip, yeah!

What I often felt recently is... that I'm really lucky and happy to have a lot of cool friends!  I'm always with nice people.  My friends are very caring and supportive.  Even if we don't see each other for a long time, we keep caring and we enjoy reunion whenever we can.

Sometimes I feel... not really good because I'm too stressed or becoming less confident,,, or something.  But I think I'm lucky.  I'll be given, if I keep asking and trying :-)  People support me a lot.

Human relationship is complecated and very confusing sometimes.  But I can learn a lot from it at the same time.  I'm not smart enough to be good at everything, I'm often too pure to blieve anything lol! and sometimes I'm really easy to get hurt,,, but I can be strong enough to get over the tough situation!  For better or worse, this is a part of ME ;-)  I love it!  haha!

My personality, ability, friends, nice people I know and all the chance to get better,,, I appreciate everything I got♪ 

   







bagel for lunch

This wrap-wrap-wrap stuff is lunch! lol  Again, I don't like cooking♪  So, this is the best I can!
I made a bagel sandwich with ham, lettuce, paprika, pickles and double cheese ;-)  I just put everything I like♪  And... I cut an apple and packed in a container.  That's it!  Lunch is ready.
I've been trying to bring lunch to work recently.  We usually have a 1 hour lunch break at work.  Bringing lunch saves time!  I can finish eating quickly and spend more free time during the rest of my break.
Alright, it's time to get dressed :-)  I gotta go♪  Have a good day!

It's been almost a year since I had that day

One of my close friends' birthday is same as mine.  We went out together last night and our friends celebrated our b-day... 10days ahead :-)  It was really fun and sweet to blow out candles together♪

Surprise!  Birthday gift from them.  Pretty flowers, a bottle of healthy liqour :-) and very elegant leather gloves.  Receiving flowers always make me happy♪  (Why not!)  I'm sure I'll bring these gloves to my winter vacation trip♪  They do match my new coat well ;-) 

I'm very happy and lucky.  I'm getting older and older surounded by nice people and beautiful friends!

COOKIES

Do you like cooking?  Me... not really. lol

I can cook, but for me it's like something you are supposed to do... like brushing teeth every day.

So I never say "cooking is my hobby" and I don't really feel it's... fun.

Plus, I never try to be good at cooking!  haha!  If I cook something healthy and good enough to eat,

I'll give an A to myself♪  haha!

But there's one thing I like making and feel fun about.  That's making chocolate chip cookies :-)

Because... my cookies are really good! lol  My friends and coworkers who have had my cookies, everybody says they like my cookies and "good job" to me♪

Tip:adding my favorite flavor... cinnamon, rum, brown sugar... a little bit more than ordinary ones :-)

Mix all the ingredients together and put it on a plate with spoons... very easy ;-)

Yeah, I know it looks like Japanese TSUMIRE stuff or something. lol

But,,, just put it in a oven and wait for a transformation... 

ta-dah♪

You'll see round shaped cookies in 15 minutes with nice smell :-)

shh.............

I've been enjoying my day off in the city today.  I left home in the morning like when I go to work, have finished some personal stuff.

Then I came to a library in the Peace Memorial Park as I sometimes do.
What I have been doing here is... my homework.  I'm writing a very short essay about self-improvement.  I gotta finish this by the class in the eveninig!

This is a public library for both Japanese and Foreigners.  We can check out English books and  see information about the city which is written in English.
I'm at a table now.  The Japanese man opposite is reading Haruki Murakami, a woman with blonde hair at the same table is reading a English book... she was speaking in English... and her boyfriend next to her is... sleeping.
I can hear 2 people from behind the bookshelf.  They are speaking in Chinese and Japanese, which seems like a Chinese lesson.
Another group of Japanese ladies is studying English with a native English speaking man with British accent :-)
...interesting♪  I like bing here sometimes :-)

OK, I gotta go back to my homework now!

B-day gift for my mom

Well, it was a few days late for this but...

Happy Birthday, mom!

I knew I was gonna send her a picture or a painting in a frame but I was not sure what to buy.  I went to some shops to find one which suits her style.  It didn't take me too long to pick one because... she is my mom! lol  I know what she likes :-)

At the third shop, I met a nice lithograph with a tender image and I took it♪  I hope she will like it.  It also matches her room, I think.

I sent her a B-day card, too.  Orange, pink, yellow flowers with many petals...  This small flower shaped card is exactly her image to me♪

  All I bought today was only this gift for my mom, but it was a very nice shopping day.  I could choose a pretty picture and I also enjoyed art a lot :-)  I want to do this more often♪

CHOCOLATE HAPPY

It snowed a little bit in my town in Hiroshima yesterday.

Finally, already, whatever... winter has come :-)

Speaking of winter, I wanna introduce a part of my winter happiness you♪

I've heard this German chocolate is limited to winter time.  For me, this is the best chocolate ever♪

Go to a store "Jupiter" or something to find this blue package with a bear picture on it and try :-)

Today, I went to a store with my coworker and bought 3 packs.

One is for me, another one is for my mom and... the last one is...  for me♪ lol

I love this hazelnut flavored melting chocolate :-)

Fill'er up!

I went to nice dinner with my friends last night♪

 Food, wine, people, chatting... everything was good :-)  I filled up myself and had a great time♪

I was really ready for the sales time on December weekend!

Then, what happened today was... "I got so unconfident"   Well, I don't wanna say anything negative like "unconfident" but I'm not perfect, so it happens! lol

I had a chance to talk to my coworkers and they let me realize I was not managing them very well.  I thought I was trying hard but I was making a lot of mistakes.  I can't tell everything in here but... it was very serious to me and took my confidence away from me for... a while.

Some people think working under someone is very stressful, but it's easy, I think.  Being a leader is more difficult than being a follower... but it's very challenging♪

Maybe that's why I can keep trying :-) 

Honestly, I was a bit down today but I'll be better soon!  I can do better :-)  I really feel I'm lucky to know how my coworkers were feeling and then they told me about it.  I guess they had a hard time to be courage enough to tell me their feeling honestly.  I appreciate it.

We'll be better :-)  because they are all good girls and reliable ;-)

Are they ready?

It's time to get new year greeting cards♪

Have you done this yet?

I guess many people will send greetings by e-mail or something on the internet nowadays.  It must be very easy, quick and convenient ;-)  I understand that and I used to do that.

But I started sending greeting cards instead of e-mail because I just wanted to. lol

And I felt good when I received one :-)

As I do every year, I picked up cards from UNICEF catalog because 50% of sales will be a donated.

I got pens for writing, made up a list of friends... now, all I have to do is "write"!

I'm a slow starter but I know I gotta do this gradually... so I won't be late for a deadline and my cards will be mailed on New Year's Day♪

From now to new year, it's gonna be a busy time for anybody,
