NYといっても１時間も離れれば...

I guess everybody thought I was going to the very metropolitan place when I said "I'm going to NY!"

Well, I'm in NY, literally... but I know your image of NY is different from how my area looks like.

One hour away from Manhattan, you'll be surrounded by greens and blue sky like this.

NYに行くと言ったものだから、みんな凄く都会を想像していると思います。。。たしかに私がいるのはNY、でもきっとイメージとは違うはず。マンハッタンから１時間も離れれば、緑と大きな空がある郊外です、こんなかんじに。

のどかです。。。

I went to the admission.  The campus was quiet so I could hear cicadas there.

今日は学校のオフィスに行きました。学校の広い敷地は静かで蝉が鳴いていた。。。

Waiting for my bus at a busstop.  Nobody seems in a hurry in this town.

バス待ち。バスは路線によって１時間に１便とか、30分に１便とか。。。のんびりです。

The school introduced me some students who are looking for a roommate.  They took me to her place and let me see the room.  I haven't decided if I take their place because this was the first time to see a room and there are some other places I'm interested in.

They also told me some about this area and gave me another piece of information,

"You can see deer, too♪"

この後、ルームメイトを探しているという学生さんに１件部屋を見せてもらいました。初めての物件だったし、まだ今週見たい部屋がいくつかあるので決定はしていないけど、街のことなど色々教えてもらいました。そしてまた情報をひとつ、

「この辺は鹿もでるよ♪」

だそうですよ。

Rockland County, across the Hudson river, 1 hour away from Manhattan... This is where I am :-)

マンハッタンからハドソン川を渡って１時間、ロックランド群というのどかな郊外におります♪
